The proposed additional glazed roof to the recent converted loft in Queen's Gate Conservation Area in Kensington aims to improve quality to the internal space reducing the solid ceiling area in favour of the transparent glass.
Increasing the internal clear headroom from 2.3m to 2.8m it has added outdoor feeling to the living area and it has provided ample natural light which highlights internal finishes texture.
A curved soft edge on roof up stand is creating smooth transition between the horizontal and the vertical surfaces and between light and shadow.
The frameless glass offer a clear view out and provide an uncompromised connection with surrounding sky.
