A contemporary rear extension in this Victorian terraced house has replaced the narrow rear kitchen, creating a free flow open plan connecting the front sitting room to the rear living area.
Full width opening on the rear provides a smooth transition between inside and outside maximising natural light and viewing to the outdoor area.
The projects has been the result of a close collaboration with client and has provided a new kitchen-dining area, an extra cloak room on ground floor together with a general refurbishment of upper floors.
One of the drivers of the external façade design was to create a constant frame around the internal glazed screen that incorporates the symmetry and brickwork fabric, typical of the Victorian style.
